What is known about (Zophia) Sophia Warzecka Tokarz

Born Zophia Warzecka in BowBower, Poland about 1884 or 1885 (according to her death certificate and Joseph's Delayed Birth Record), little is known about her family or parents. I have no idea when she immigrated to the US or if she came alone or with others.

After talking with Josephine, she remembered her mom say that she lived with her grandmother and granmother sent her to live with cousins in the US. Casimere and his children seemed to remember cousins with the last name "Noga" lived close. Perhaps these were the cousins she was sent to live with? I have not been able to get more information on the Noga connection. When I visited Cas, he had Micheal's funeral book and in the book had sevearl Noga's listed. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THAT BOOK IS?? It could provide some valuable clues!

Sophie and Frank were married Jan 20, 1907 and she was 22 years old according to the marriage record.

Sophie gave birth to 8 children, with 7 surviving into adulthood. Cas recalls that she was very spiritually strong Catholic and a very loving mother. She is reported to have worked for a time as a janitor in a tavern as well as other small jobs to help support the family's income. All of the children I interviewed spoke kindly and lovingly of their mother.

Sophie passed away Dec 22 1943 from stomach cancer at the age of 58. She was burried at the Ressurection Catholic Cemetary alongside her husband Frank Dec 27, 1943. Her headstone reads "Zophia Tokarz".

Pictures are forth coming.
